Boulder is a city at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in northern Colorado just about 27 miles NW of Denver. To the west, the trail-lined Flatirons are craggy rock formations overlooking the city. Population around 100,000 and a hub to several major industries like high tech, bio tech, social media, natural foods, government labs and outdoor recreation. Downtown’s pedestrian Pearl Street Mall includes art galleries, cafes, restaurants and boutiques. The University of Colorado Boulder campus is the flagship school of the State.
